Kids and Juicing
There is no reason why if you are enjoying all the amazing benefits of juicing vegetables and fruits your children can not either. Check out this general guideline on how much juice you can give your children a say. Always check with your pediatricians when beginning a new regime with your children, and also, use good common judgement. You know your children best and know when they are diggn it or hating it!

1 to 3 years old: Oh toddlers and their pickiness. When they begin solid foods, introduce vegetables and fruits. Some great first options that might go down easy : banana, pears, apples, mangoes, tomatoes, avocados and boiled potatoes. Sometimes children enjoy mocking you and if you have a drink of juice, they may as well.

4 to 8 years old: Diluting juice with one part water to 1/4 cup juice is a great healthy way to introduce juicing to kids. The dilution also is more gentle on their tummies and may ease the strong flavors. Through time increase juice to water ratio once they are more accustomed to drinking juices.

9 to 12 years old: Giving children juiced vegetables and fruits not only provides them with important micro-nutrients, it will give them energy and focus. If they are well seasoned at drinking juicing recipes, they can safety drink 1/2 cup neat. More than this may cause diarrhea. If they are just starting out dilute with 1/2 cup with one part water.

12 years and above: At this age, they will be able to safely take one cup (about 250 ml) juice neat. However, if they are not used to taking juice, test with smaller amounts first. Diluting is always helpful when first starting out.
